Stevie G is a great example of a footballer to youngsters. People should over look on who they support and just focus on the individual as a player and role model rather than what team he plays for. I’m a United fan and would love to see us thrash Liverpool on a regular basis, but taking into account Gerrard’s ability, attitude and loyalty to LFC, I have the utmost respect for him as a player, a captain, and more importantly a person.

I admire Lampard for being the best utiliser of an individual talent ever. he is clearly anything but a better natural talnt than Stevie G; his arsenal is effectively knowing when to pop in the box. That means he surpassed his God given gifts and decided to score vital goals. Stevie, meanwhile, is a top defensive, offensive and goalscoring midfielder, with far more the wieldy and expansive talent.

Oh, and Alonso was a better play-maker than anyone Lampard has played with up until this season, and Kalou and Malouda were shite. The facts are that Lampard has outscored Gerrard for almost all of his career. He isn’t a flashy player or naturally as gifted, but he’s proven himself comfortably more effective on the pitch over the years.
